Akwa Ibom born Wrestling Champion Seeks support for African Wresting Confederation Championship

An Akwa Ibom born Light weight Title holder in wrestling, Victor Idorenyin Ebenezer popularly known in the professional wrestling world as “Power Vic” is seeking for financial support from Akwa Ibom State government, multi-national companies, public spirited individual to enable him to fight for the A.W.C Junior Heavyweight Wrestling Golden Belt Title.

The International Executive Council of the African Wresting Confederation (A.W.C) in Conjunction with the African wrestling council after its executive council meeting held at Congo Democratic Republic (CDR) on the 21st of September, 2017 and subsequent technical committee meeting in Lagos state on the 10th of October, 2017 has approved this fight in Nigeria.

Power Vic for the record has been wrestling since 1990 and he fought a lot of wrestlers from Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and lastly in London recently before he came back to his country, Nigeria and won a-yet-to-be-challenged Light weight Title in 2016 in Delta State. The opportunity is knocking on his door step, if he can get sponsors to assist him to fight for this title, if he wins the crown, he can then have the chance to fight for the Commonwealth Title in London, after which he will be rated to go for the World Title in the U.S.A according to the Secretary, African Pro Wrestling Counci, Mrs. Mbon Sombo Veronic, Democratic Republic of Congo in a release made available to newsmen recently.

“Power Vic is an energetic and very powerful young man with potentials to be a world champion if assisted, we are requesting Nigerians to support him financially and otherwise so that his objectives can manifest to the glory of the sponsors, the State and the nation generally. This epoch making championship will encourage youth empowerment as it will enable the young ones not only in Nigeria but the entire African continents, and his championship is slated to take place in Uyo Sports stadium in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria”, she noted.        .

Power Vic is a professionally licensed and internationally Certificated Wrestler both in Nigeria, London and other countries around the world. It is worthy of note that Power Vic has a training ground where he has been training a lot of young ones in his community, notably is the just concluded Akwa Ibom State youths Sports competition, which contestants from his local government, Ikot Abasi won 11 medals through wrestling competition, coached and managed by Power Vic with very little or no financial support from the local government council. Therefore, he needs supports for the successful hosting of the AFRICAN TITLE FIGHT in Akwa Ibom State.

The much coveted title, African Junior Heavy Weight Golden Belt as planned to be hosted in the soil of Akwa Ibom State will play host to 13 African Countries including Egypt, South Africa, Algeria, Togo, D. R. Congo, Cameroun, Ghana, Angola, Zimbabwe among others.
