On the 6th of January, 2018 at the International Conference Centre, Abakaliki, Lady Monica Ada Chidinma Eze, the President and Founder of a vibrant and virile grassroots NGO, the David Umahi Nweze Akubaraoha Ebonyi Transformation Agenda (DUNAETA) unveiled the Group’s visionary program of action for the year 2018.
Lady Monica Ada Eze who doubles as The Technical Assistant on Media (TA) to Governor David Nweze Umahi made this disclosure in an epochal event where she distributed some bags of Ebonyi State Rice and undisclosed amount of cash to eight public commentators who distinguished themselves in the Social Media on issues pertaining to Governor Umahi and the activities of Ebonyi State Government.
This was contained in a press statement circulated on Friday in Abakaliki the Ebonyi State capital by Pharmacist Nnenna Eunice Augustine the Special Media Aide to the DUNAETA President. The statement further stated that since the appointment of her boss as TA On Media on 20th October, 2016 she has published over 20 articles and over 25 Press Statements propagating and promoting the activities of Governor Umahi and that of the Ebonyi State Government.
The Press Statement stated further that Monica Eze is so committed towards the re-election bid of Governor Umahi come 2019 and will not mind what ever it will cause her to achieve this goal in view of the tremendous changes and infrastructural revolution he has brought to bear in Ebonyi State. Quoting from the DUNAETA President’ s speech, “Today, the Governor has become the new face of democracy and positive development in Nigeria that I wonder why some groups of people are attempting to frustrate his second term bid”. Let me at this juncture, commend and congratulate Governor Umahi for making the difference so far governance is concerned in Nigeria. Time and space can’t permit me to enumerate most of the feats of this energetic, visionary and outstanding Governor but I am convinced that no right thinking person will fail to acknowledge that Governor Umahi has delivered on his mandate. If President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria could attests to the great things Governor Umahi has achieved in Ebonyi State I expect most of the opposition political leaders to learn from our dear President and accord Engr. Dave Umahi his rightful place in the politics of Ebonyi State. I must reiterate that Engr Dave Nweze Umahi is one of the best things that has ever happened to the people of Ebonyi State”.
The statement further quoted Lady Monica Ada Chidinma Eze Aka Ada EBONYI, “Immediately after my appointment and considering the enormous challenges of my new task of propagating and projecting the great image of an outstanding and ever busy Governor of the status of Engr. David Umahi and after briefs from my superiors I entered into the field. Within the period under review, I was able to form and join a lot of Social Media groups be it Face-Book, Instagram, vimeo, printest, whatsapp, LinkedIn,YouTube, Twitter etc in order to circulate releases and information pertaining to the activities of Governor Umahi and his administration in Ebonyi State to the entire world”.
DUNAETA’s 2018 PROJECTS/MISSION
According to Lady Eze, she intends to embark upon the following projects: 1. Pilot a 30minute Radio/Television Talk show in EBBC to be titled, “POLITICS WITH MONICA EZE where I intend to engage most of our political actors and supporters to express their views about the activities of the Ebonyi State Government and what impacts they are making individually in their various communities as either Government appointee or elected representative of our people. I hope to make it a must watch Talk Show in Ebonyi State. Once, I have the necessary support and clearance, the programme will hit the airwave accordingly. 2. Donate a Gold cup in honour of Governor David Umahi to be called, “Akubuorah Gold Cup for Quiz Competition amongst Schools in Ohaozara Local Government. 3. Donate a Gold Cup in honour of the First Lady of Ebonyi State to be named OGOO NWANYI GOLD CUP for Choir Competition amongst Churches in Uburu Town. 4. Donate a giant Gold Cup to be named DUNAETA GOLD CUP for the best performing Commissioner under this administration. 5. Finally, by December present gifts to widows of Umuobuna Community. 6. Embark upon any other project that will assist in promoting the image and earning more supporters for the re-election bid of my boss, Governor David Umahi.
In the event that comprises of the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Senator Emmanuel Onwe ably represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Prince Anya Okorie , the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Umahi, Mr. Emmanuel Uzor, prominent Media Practitioners in the State the following people were honoured for their positive inputs in propagating the ideals and vision of the government of Ebonyi State under the watch of Engr. David Nweze Umahi through the Social Media: 1. Evangelist Prince Nwoba Solomon 2. Osita Kenneth Coublon 3. Kelechi Agaha Uche 4. Jim-Great Chukwu Enyinnaya 5. Aneke Lawrence 6. Lyon Iyke 7. Ibeabuchi Jonathan 8. Ikechukwu Arinzechi.
In his remarks, Senator Emmanuel Onwe who hosted the event who spoke through Prince Anya Okorie described Monica Ada Eze as a trailblazer who other Aides of Governor Umahi should emulate. He pledged the support of the Ministry towards assisting Monica Ada Eze to succeed in her task of making the difference through her appointment.
CPS Uzor in his speech praised Monica for demonstrating on how Aides should project the image of the Governor. To Evangelist Prince Nwoba Solomon who won the most prestigious Gold award described the DUNAETA Founder thus, “She is such a paragon of beauty! An intelligent cum humble leader and a philanthropist extraordinary who is a proud to the Ebonyi State. What she has demonstrated today is that she is a microcosm of Engr DAVE UMAHI so the State should expect more from this great lady of our time.
While other TAs are complaining of their meager salaries she still deeps hand in her pocket to appreciate her numerous fans. She started from sharing call cards of different denominations #500 & #1000 on her timeline and page, later she converted it to a recharge context where the person with the highest number of recharge wins a prize. This kind gesture was truncated by one ingrate who recharged and refused to identify him/herself let alone showing appreciation! Out of her tolerance and accomodativeness she changed the game to answer and win promo, where the person(s) with the highest number of win would be crowned awarded!
But today she did not only fulfill such pledge but also extended the appreciation to almost all her fans who were present during the award presentation at international conference center Abakaliki! Miss Monica Ada Chidinma Eze you are a gift not only to your family but to the nation”. Governor Umahi was highly appreciated for making Ada Ebonyi a success in her task. Others appreciated were Senator Emmanuel Onwe the Hon. Commissioner of Information whom the DUNAETA President described as her immediate boss, Mentor and Motivator. Her mother. Evangelist Ada C.. H. Eze (Snr.) who acts as her Editor -In – Chief, Hon. Clement Nweke, Principal Secretary to Governor Umahi who ensured that the guests were properly entertained.
CPS Emmanuel Uzor and her colleagues, STA Christopher Ngwuta, STA Brutus Orogwu, TAs Monday Eze, Simbad, Chukwu Sylvial, Godfrey Chikwere, Ojukwu Ene, Philip Nweze, Uchenne Eke, Albino Malachy Lawrence Egede, Osita Kalu Ugoji, Francis Nweze were appreciated for their various roles in molding and making Monica what she is by today. She also appreciated most profusely all the Publishers, Editors and Journalists of some great Media Houses both in Nigeria and outside Nigeria, “who don’t even know me but still continue to publish most of my articles and press statements. I attribute to you people whatever it is I may have achieved in this task”.
In conclusion, Ada Ebonyi pleaded with the great people of Ebonyi State to shine their eyes and ensure that the wonder performing Governor of Ebonyi State is reelected to enable him continues with his divine mandate to take our dear State to the promise land.
