The immediate past governor of Akwa Ibom state, Chief Godswill Akpabio has described the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Obong Nsima Ekere as the Messiah of Akwa Ibom.
Sen. Akpabio made this assertion in Essien Udim secretariat, Afaha Ikot Ebak in Essien Udim local government area during his campaign rally. He explained that Nsima Ekere will effectively feat in to the larger shores that had been created in the state.
Akpabio who represent Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District in the upper chamber of the National Assembly noted that for the past four years, Akwa Ibom people were caged down, depriving them of their rights and entitlements, as a result of this, he present Nsima Ekere as the Messiah who will redeem all that were lost, he stated that as Jesus was the Messiah of the world, so also is Nsima Ekere to Akwa Ibom, “take a look at Obong Nsima Ekere riding in a chariot as a king, he is the Messiah sent to redeem us from bondage”.
He promised that being the bonafide citizen of Essien Udim, all the people will definitely stand with him come the next general election, he also promised that Essien Udim will support APC hundred per cent from President down to House of Assembly. He expressed the hope that the regn of Ekere as governor will be that of economic prosperity, endearing peace and explotion of people oriented projects.
The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Obong Nsima Ekere, while addressing the mammoth crowd unveiled the reason why he rode on chariot. He stated that Essien Udim is a special land therefore everything must be special. He further appreciated the efforts of Essien Udim people noted that they should continue to embrace love and unity for the betterment of the state. He also admonished that effective representation will come to Akwa Ibom state after election claiming that he must ensure that the good people of Akwa Ibom enjoy the next government.
Also speaking was the member representing Essien Udim State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nse Ntuen assuring Obong Nsima Ekere that he should not be afraid because Essien Udim people are with him. He also promised that the coming election will be adequately conducted.
