The aspiration of Mr Emmanuel Okon, the MD/CEO of Eminence Oil and Chemicals to represent Uyo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives come 2019 has continued to receive massive support and endorsement day by day.
This is one aspiration that has been able to unite all stakeholders and party stalwarts in Uyo Federal Constituency who have unanimously agreed that Mr Emmanuel Okon (Eminence) is the best and proper person for the National Assembly seat.
This unanimous decision was expressed by stakeholders of the four local governments that make up Uyo Federal Constituency when Mr Okon led his team to consult the leaders on his intention to represent the area in the National Assembly come 2019. Being the most popular aspirant in the race, Mr Okon has enjoyed the support of the four Chapter Chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP that make up the federal constituency.
From Ibesikpo Asutan to Uyo, Uruan and Nsit Atai, the support for Mr Okon has been unanimous. Major stakeholders from the four local government areas who were consulted so far have agreed that it is right to allow an Nsit Atai son to represent the area in the second round of representation at the national assembly. It is worthy of note that, Nsit Atai has not been given opportunity to represent Uyo Federal Constituency under PDP since 1999, Hon Emmanuel Ekpenyong who represented Uyo Federal Constituency from Nsit Atai in 2011 was a member of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
The stakeholders in Uyo Federal Constituency are not bordered on where the rotation started, but emphasis is placed on capacity, credibility, and competency to give the area an effective representation it yearns for over the years. The needed charisma, capacity, and competence, according to stakeholders of the four local government areas consulted so far have been found in Mr Emmanuel Okon. Thus, they have unanimously blessed him to continue his consultation and get himself ready to represent Uyo Federal Constituency come 2019.
With the endorsement of the stakeholders, party, youths, and women in the federal constituency, Mr Okon is unstoppable come 2019. The testimony of Mr Okon’s generosity and kindness to people in the entire state knows no bounds. As a maxist, Mr Okon believes in the happiness of others and he is ever ready to sacrifice his own for other to be happy if need be. This seasoned industrialist is a renowned oil magnet and currently, the chairman of NNPC Mega Station dealers and Owners Association of Nigeria South-South.
Mr Okon is an accomplished businessman and a graduate of political science. He is well vest with legislative proceedings which is his area of specialty. His generosity has earned him the title of (Ambassador for Empowerment) which he is popularly known for especially in Akwa Ibom State. Having practiced empowerment of people in the last ten years, it is therefore safe to conclude that with Mr Okon on the saddle, Uyo Federal Constituency is in for a better deal.
