…Reiterate Unalloyed Support For PDP Foundation Elder, Ukpong Dan Umoh
The youths of ward 8 in Uyo Local Government Area have expressed gratitude towards prudent management of state resources by the executive governor of the state and have also risen in support of the second term aspiration of Governor Udom Emmanuel.
Arising from a solidarity visit to the foundation elder cum political leader of the ward, Chief Ukpong Dan Umoh, the leader of the delegation, coincidentally the PDP youth leader of ward 8, Mr. Emmanuel Etim Umoh commended the leadership strides of Chief Umoh, noting that his political wealth of experience has brought politics of inclusiveness to the ward and local government area at large.
The PDP youth leader, who moved motion for endorsement of DEACON Udom Emmanuel’s re election urged youth to stand firm on the philosophies and ideologies of Peoples Democratic Party noting that, Permanent Voters Card (PVC)was the key and weapon needed to ensure the return of Governor Udom Emmanuel in the Hilltop mansion.
While enumerating achievements of Governor Udom Emmanuel led administration to include but not limited to; Youth empowerment, establishment of industries, prudent management of funds among others, Mr. Emmanuel Etim Umoh described PDP as a religion in Akwa Ibom State thereby expressing optimism that the governor’s second term bid was a done deal.
In his remark, the Uyo Senatorial District Chairman of PDP, Hon. Okon Nsentip thanked Chief Ukpong Dan Umoh for providing enabling environment were youth could interface and ENDORSE the State Chief Executive’s ambition revealing that it was the first of its kind. He commended the youths for dimming it fit to drum support for Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel and solicited that unity, tolerance and team work should be used as tools towards reelecting the governor. Nsentip iterated the determination of Governor Udom Emmanuel to improve on the wellbeing of youths even beyond 2019, stressing that the Peoples Democratic Party also has better packages for the youths.
The Uyo Senatorial District chairman portrayed youths as field marshall in election and urged them to cue behind Udom Emmanuel. The Uyo Publicity Secretary of PDP, Mr. Akaninyene Abasiekong urged other ELDERS to beautify and add colours to lives of youths as Chief Ukpong Dan Umoh has done emphasizing that, but not for Chief Umoh, PDP in ward eight would have turned DEFUNCT. He expressed optimism of PDP winning the forthcoming elections across the state.
A former Youth Leader of Ikono Ibom clan, Akparawa Eyakeno Udoma thanked the youths for their gesture but pleaded with them to be serious as seriousness will bring forth success.
Responding, the political leader of ward 8, Chief Ukpong Dan Umoh thanked the youth for the visit, insisting that as one of the founding fathers of PDP, there was no where he would have stopped investing his time, energy and resources on issues bothering the wellbeing and welfare of PDP across the state and beyond. He states that the second term aspiration of Deacon Udom Emmanuel was non negotiable, stressing that the easiest way of which Uyo Senatorial District could take over Hilltop Mansion was to allow Udom Emmanuel the opportunity of completing his second term just like Obong Victor Attah and Chief Godswill Obot Akpabio completed theirs. He commended the youths for cueing behind the governor’s aspiration, maintaining that such quest will be productive, fruitful and successful.
Others who spoke on the occasion included the Uyo ward 8 Secretary of PDP, Mr. Ubong Nelson, Mrs Nseabasi Nseobot among others.
