… I want to Make A’Ibom An Independent Nation – Hon. Idorenyin Umo Announces As He Consults Ibiono Ibom Royal Fathers

The Paramount Ruler of Ibiono Ibom, His Royal Majesty, Okuku Dr. Ime Udousoro Inyang has described a PDP governorship aspirant for the 2023 general elections, Hon. Idorenyin Umo as an aspirant with a “different gospel” when paid him a consultation visit recently.
The royal father who was flabbergasted over the vision of Idorenyin Umo declared, “I can call you, Jesus but I will not add Christ because your vision has the capacity of emancipating the people from the shackle of poverty to prosperity and from job seeking to job providers.”
The Ibom Ibiono Ibom that could not hide his feelings said that the visit of Hon. Idorenyin Umo and his entourage did not come with, “the usual arrogance and flambuoyancy, I have seen humility, simplicity and sincerity in this visit. The serenity and the political education are exemplary. You are introducing a new trend into Nigeria politics. You are not a copycat, what you told us here is original”.
The Paramount Ruler, flanked by his royal cabinet members announced his decision to be part of Idorenyin Umo’s reform agenda as this will open the gates to the future, “I want to follow you because this is the way to follow out of sorrows, we shall be your disciples and apostles as the present politics and politicking do not pay us at all”. Hon. Idorenyin Umo was given a royal blessing by the royal fathers led by the paramount ruler.
Earlier in his speech, the PDP governorship aspirant, Hon. Idorenyin Umo explaining his blueprint and vision for the state, constantly affirmed that he does not have any ambition for the state but vision of emancipation, “I am not looking for work or position to occupy but opportunity to contribute my quota for the development of the state because governance is service, not employment opportunity”.
Rolling out his vision for the state, Mr. Umo who was accompanied by his supporters observed that total dependence on oil and 13 per cent derivation funds from the federal government alone while abandoning the natural resources that are abound in communities, cannot develop the state optimally, “my vision is to establish a God inspired and responsible government in Akwa Ibom State, we want to harness resources that abound in each community to create wealth in those communities, thereby creating wealth for the people. We will make and implement policies that will promote people to rise up in entrepreneurship”.
In the area of education, the PDP hopeful, aside the flexible and affordable education system that he promised to be accessible to all Akwa Ibom children, he identified core areas of technological advancement will touch to lift the state out of financial dependent state to that of wealth creation, “we will build this land by ourselves by training people in all areas of the economy with particular concentration on technology, engineering and medicine. We are looking at training not less than 200 Akwa Ibom sons and daughters in these three areas yearly so that at the end of it, we will not lack manpower to develop what we want by ourselves. I have made myself available as an alternative for Akwa Ibom people to choose”. The train also visited the PDP ward 7, and the village head of Use Ikot Ama Ama in Ibiono Ibom local government area.
