A US-based security expert, Mr. Sampson Sydney Akpan has joined the 2023 governorship race under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Briefing a cross section of his supporters in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital after arriving in Nigeria, the governorship aspirant explained that his decision to join the contest was informed by his sincere determination to change the living condition of Akwa Ibom people.
Floating his campaign with the theme, “It is Possible with God 2023”, Mr. Akpan said, “I have come to take away burdens from the shoulders of Akwa Ibom people, I have seen the way Akwa Ibom people are suffering, especially women during child birth”.
The PDP governorship hopeful decried the present state of educational system, promised to fix schools and make it a learning ground to students, “school system has collapsed, we will build back our schools”. He maintained that he will use his wide connections to bring investors to develop the state in most areas of critical needs.
Consequently, Mr. Sampson Akpan invites all Akwa Ibom people to join him as he presents his blueprint to the state tomorrow at Francis Place, by Oron Road, Uyo-Akwa Ibom State by 10am prompt.
