AG Bags 2022 Integrity Stewardship Award

In recognition of his selfless service, sincerity of purpose and display of ethical leadership, the Accountant General of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Uwem Andrew-Essien was today 24th March, 2022 decorated Ambassador, “Integrity Stewardship” of the year 2022.

Performing the ceremony in the Accountant General’s Office, the Executive Director, Centre for Peace and Self Value Re-Orientation, Abuja, Comrade Oyibo Abubakar, who also presented certificate of Integrity to Pastor Andrew-Essien said his selection came after a critical assessment and evaluation.

“Furthermore, from our confidential independent assessment, conducted on MDA’s, South West of Nigeria, Office of the Accountant General under the stewardship of Pastor Uwem Andrew-Essien came out very outstanding. Comrade Oyibo praised the Accountant General for distinguishing himself in his career, describing him as an icon of peace, generational change maker, with track record of indelible achievements.

The Executive Director, opined that maintenance of critical infrastructures needed for the economic growth of any Nation, is in the hands of ethically responsible leaders and not the morally bankrupt. He lauded the leadership style of the Governor Udom Emmanuel administration, noting that Akwa Ibom State is on the threshold of rapid social and economic development.

Responding, the Accountant General of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Uwem Andrew-Essien, expressed gratitude to the leadership of Centre for Peace and Self Value Re-Orientation for the honour done him.

Pastor Andrew-Essien, who dedicated the award to God, thanked the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for the opportunity given him to serve as the Accountant General and also his staff for their cooperation and commitment to duties.

The Accountant General told the group that his office is the anchor point for the operation of State Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Sustainability (SFTAS) and tasked staff to comply with SFTAS directive.

Pastor Andrew-Essien disclosed that over ninety-five students in tertiary institution are on his scholarship list, while 75 are being trained on various vocations. He praised the group for advocating for peace and working towards corruption free society.

Advocacy for peace and values re-orientation is a non-governmental organization of professionals and highly skilled volunteers, promoting ethical leadership and awakening the spirit of service ship among the citizens.
