BENEST Technical Services has been commended for expansive work done in the construction of Ikot Usop – Ikot Edeghe road with two major bridges in Mkpat Enin L.G.A
The Honourable Commissioner for Works, Mr. Ephraim Inyang-eyen made the commendation while on an inspection tour of the project of which he also oversaw the payment of compensation in Ikot Edeghe Community. Mr. Ephraim Inyang-eyen said they are very satisfied with the Managing Director of BENEST TECHNICAL SERVICES, Elder Ben Udobia for living up to expectation with consistency and quality service delivery.
The Works Commissioner also commended the host community of Ikot Edeghe for their peaceful disposition and cooperation with the Ministry and company by ensuring that the project is on course without hitches. He explained that the Ikot Usop – Ikot Edeghe road construction is in fulfilment of the campaign pledge of Governor Emmanuel and the desire of his administration to open up areas hitherto inaccessible for the promotion of social interactions and economy activities, as well as to provide good road network in the State.
Mr Ephraim Inyang-eyen who was acompanied by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ifreke Ekpa; Director of Civil, Engr. Mfon Abia; Director of Electrical, Engr. Peter Udobang among others also proceeded to inspect the on-going road construction of Information Drive which is also handled by the same BENEST TECHNICAL SERVICES.
The Works Commissioner who inspected the 1.5 1km Information Drive, praised BENEST TECHNICAL SERVICES for being patriotic and for completing the earthwork on the road and embarking on drainage system even when the State Government has not mobilized them.
Mr. Ephraim Inyang-eyen who was received upon his arrival of the Information Drive by the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Akwa Ibom State, Elder Patrick Albert and other members of the Union reiterated the current decision of the government to provide drainage system and functional solar lighting system to all the newly constructed roads in the State.
The Commissioner thanked people of the area for cooperating with the Government and the company without recourse to erection of illegal structures on the road only for the sake of collecting government compensation.
Speaking the Managing Director of Benest Technical Services, Chief Ben Udobia thanked the State Government for the opportunity given to Local Contractors in the State to prove their technical efficiency on road construction and pledged that they will not disappoint in service delivery.
Chief Udobia assured that BENEST TECHNICAL SERVICES is determined to deliver both the Ikot Usop-Ikot Edeghe road and Information Drive road construction project in recorded time. He therefore called for continued support from the government and communities.
The State Chairman of NUJ, Elder Patrick Albert lauded governor Udom Emmanuel for the construction of Information Drive and pledged the Union partners with the present administration in her various developmental programmes.
The youth leader for Aka Offot Community, Comrade Christian John said they are very happy with the Government of Mr. Udom Emmanuel for the construction of the road which has brought development and employment to the people. Comrade John while requesting for more of such projects in the area promised the community total support to Governor Udom’s led administration in the State.
