As the novel Coronavirus pandemic continues to bite around the world, President Muhammadu Buhari has described the first phase of the vaccine as a welcome development as it is being distributed around some countries of the world for the prevention of the virus.
In his reaction to the breakthrough in the medical science in that direction, President Buhari applauded Medical Researchers for getting solution to the dreaded disease as it has recorded 90 per cent effectiveness against the disease especially, in the countries that trial vaccination had been carried out. President Buhari, according to his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu described the development as a ‘major milestone’.
The President however, advocated that the vaccine, when mass produced must be equitably accessed and distributed to protect people in all countries for the purposes of saving lives and uniting families as Nigeria is set and ready for it.
Around the world, Century Newsfront gathered that some countries the trial vaccination took place so far, such as Brazil, it has been reported of negative reaction of the vaccine on humans as it has been called to a ‘halt’ at the moment for further investigations. Consequently, the outgoing President of the United States of America, Mr. Donald Trump has announced that the vaccine would be used in America from March, 2021.
