ESD Senate Hopeful Hosts Kinsmen

A member, Akwa Ibom State Secondary Education Board, Dr. Markfre Ekefre, at the weekend, hosted PDP Ward Chairmen and Youth Leaders across the 15 wards in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area to a new year get together.

The event took place at Dr. Ekefre’s country home, Asong, where he thanked the people of Mkpat Enin for their continued support to Governor Udom Emmanuel administration. He also saluted the Governor for giving him the platform to serve in the State Secondary Board, describing him as a result-oriented leader.

Dr. Ekefre explained that the get together was to celebrate the new year with his people to engender the bond of friendship, love and unity. The Board Member thanked the PDP Ward Chairmen and Youth Leaders for standing firm with the ruling party in the State and urged them not to relent in their support.

He said he will continue to give his best to his people in any capacity he serves, promising to work together with them for the overall development of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area.

Responding, the PDP Chairman, Ikpa Ikono Ward Two, Mr. Uwem Sunday Usoro thanked Dr. Markfre Ekefre for the love toward the Ward Chairmen of the party and the people of Mkpat Enin by hosting them to a new year party.

Also speaker, Comrade Paul Ubom, the Clan Youth President, Ukpum Minya Clan who described Dr. Markfre Ekefre as a man with a large heart, thanked him for bringing together youth leaders, saying the gesture has given them a sense of belonging.

Earlier, the Secondary Education Board.ember, Dr. Ekefre had paid a visit to Asong Village Council.

The Village Head, Eteidung James Ekpo represented by the Village Chairman, Chief Augustine Udo Atai thanked Dr. Ekefre for his respect to the traditional institution, describing him a proud son of Asong. He prayed God to continue to guide Dr. Ekefre in his service to God and humanity. Also at the visit were the Secretary of Asong Village Council, Elder Anthony Ufot and the Woman Leader, Mrs Dorathy Matthias Akpan.
