G22 Thumps Up Udom’s Second Term Bid

Some members of G22, a group of 2015 people’s Democratic Party (PDP) Gubernatorial Aspirants in Akwa Ibom State have thrown their weight behind Governor Udom Emmanuel in seeking a second term to lead the state for another four year.

Addressing a news conference in Uyo yesterday Thursday 13th February, 2019, the defacto leader of the group, Pastor Ita Udo stated that other members included Obong Nsima Ekere, the leader of the group who is now a Gubernatorial candidate in the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC). Another leader of the group Ambassador Assam Assam was inevitably not present at the conference but was still being expected from Abuja up to end of the conference.

The text of the conference entitled, “Never again Masada” made available to Century Newsfront stated that they had witnessed in the past three and half years all that Governor Udom Emmanuel had done to stabilize the state and put it back on the pedestal of growth and stability. Pastor Ita Udo said the Governor had also tried to develop Agricultural Sector as well as the development of infrastructure, education, transportation, health and sports. He reiterated that the investors’ friendly climate created by Deacon Udom-led Government which attracted not less than fifteen industries to the state were all pointers to a brighter future added to the Dakkada philosophy were all encompassing in its creed to ginger Akwa Ibom sons and daughters to greatness.

Their collective decision as patriots according to Pastor Ita Udo should go beyond party times emphasizing that Governor Udom had done well and deserves a second term as the Governor of the State.

The fifteen members of the G22 resolved to stand with Udom Emmanuel in the guest to move the state forward and called on all good people and residents of the state to support Governor Udom Emmanuel in his second term bid to consolidate on the strategic repositioning of the state based on his lofty policies and agenda.

Professor Peter Esuh, a member of the group also contributed during the interactive session. Other members of the group who gave their approval included Ambassador Asam Asam, HE Engr Patrick Ekpotu, Sen. Helen Esuene, Chief Barr Ekpeyong Ntekim, Chief Benji Okoko, Dr Sam Udonsak, Engr Larry Esin, Chief Engr Ime Ekanem, Prof Peter Esuh, Engr Effiong Usin, Rt. Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, Pastor Engr David Okpon, Prince Chris Abasi Eyo and Rt. Hon. Jerome Isangadighi.
