Gov Emmanuel Applauds Mhur On Progress At Secretariat Annex By Uyouko Usuah

Governor Udom Emmanuel has expressed delight on the state of work at the formerly abandoned 10th anniversary hotel building at Udoudoma Avenue, which is being converted to an extension of the state secretariat describing it as one of the visible evidences of the commitment and focus of his administration not only to transform and consolidate on existing infrastructure in the state but to create an enabling environment for Akwa Ibom workers to perform optimally.
The Governor stated this after being conducted round the complex by the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Renewal, Prince Enobong Uwah whose ministry is in charge of the project. While attributing the giant strides of his administration to the creativity, initiative and proactiveness of his commissioners, the governor said positive utilization of the complex has put to an end the criminal activities which used to take place there as it had become a major hideout.
The Governor stressed that the vision of his administration for the state would all be achieved and sued for patience and cooperation from Akwa Ibom people. He however advised petitioners not to live and act by hear-say rather they should go round the state to see what is on ground so as to have first-hand information on the actual state of development. Governor Udom Emmanuel noted that he would remain resolute, undeterred and would strive to secure the future of Akwa Ibom children with a legacy of development.
The state Chief Executive commended journalists in the state for refusing to be manipulated into the publication of falsehood and deceit calculated to disparage the success of his administration through what he described as satanic agenda but adhering to truths and verified facts stressing that in Akwa Ibom State, light would certainly swallow up darkness, “I also thank you gentlemen of the press that inspite of all the mischief and all that opposition is trying to do, you are standing firm and fast to see the truth and actually sift the satanic propaganda from God’s own agenda. While running God’s own agenda, they are actually after satanic propaganda. We are two different ends, we can never merge, one is negative, one is positive, one is darkness one is light so they can never come together but we believe light must swallow darkness.”
In his remark, the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Renewal, Prince Enobong Uwah, said even though the complex could not be commissioned within the four months given them by government, the project was ninety percent completed as all the technical works were already completed. Prince Uwah said the last aspects of the finishing works would be completed soon and that the project would be ready for commissioning in fourteen days.
