Gov Udom Passionate About Education

            The state governor, Deaconess Udom Gabriel Emmanuel says he is passionate about education in the state.             To this end, over one thousand four hundred (1400) classroom blocks had been remodeled while over six hundred million naira (N600m) West African Examination Council (WAEC) fees paid for students as well as subventions paid annually to schools to ensure that the state records a huge success story devoid of political collaboration.

            Governor Udom made these known during a media parley held at the government house in Uyo with journalist in the state covering both electronic and print media. On the acclaimed gigantic strides taken by his administration towards greatness, the governor called on the people to see agriculture as the bedrock of development and that they all should be involved in the sector adding that more than thirteen thousand rice growers farmers were gradually making success while the coconut plantation was still on course.

The governor was optimistic that the fertilizer blending factory in Abak was the best so far in the country. He stated that by the year 2021, the perceived problem encountered in power sector should be reciprocated as the government is leaving no stone unturned towards revitalizing it

On health, the State Chief Executive disclosed that his administration was doing a lot to revitalize the sector by training many doctors and nurses so that people will find unnecessary to travel abroad for medical treatment. Presently, according to the governor, Akwa Ibom remains the easiest state to get into from Abuja and Lagos courtesy of the availability of air transport service

He reiterated that he would continue to be the peoples servant leader who would continue to lead the state with the fear of God and with the over aching interest of the people, their growth, peaceful co-existence and development as the guiding principles adding that he would continue to do all that he could to cement the bond of the peoples unity.

The Governor called on all to cooperate with his administration irrespective of political, religious and ethic affiliations join hands to move the state up towards greatness and thanked the pen pushers for their contributions in budgeting the state.
