The Leaders and members of the Transformation Initiative for the Empowerment of Ibom People (TIEIP), a frontline Socio-political organisation in Akwa Ibom State have risen in stout support of Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel’s administration in the State.
The TIEIP members who were drawn from her 38 Chapters worldwide including UK and Francophone made the proclamation at their 2015 World Retreat held at Ikot Ebiere, Onna Local Government Area, the country Home of their Chairman, Board of Trustees, Mr. Ephraim Inyang-eyen.
Members of the Transformation Initiative acknowledged and deeply appreciated the giant strides of Governor Udom Emmanuel especially in his industrialization of the State as evidenced in revamping of some of the moribund industries and laying foundation Stones for new Industries, as well as ensuring equipment in the electricity supply to drive the industrialization policy of his administration.
Transformation Initiative who passed vote of confidence on Governor Udom Emmanuel for his outstanding leadership and prudent Management of the State resources, noted with satisfaction the government’s Intervention in roads in some Local Government Areas but appealed that such gesture should be extended in the next phase to other Local Government especially areas not attended to by the previous administrations.
The group also commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for his human capacity development as evidenced in the empowerment of youths and Women in Agriculture, sponsorship in various specialized fields, as well as encouraging indigenous entrepreneurs through interest free loan and contract. They urged all well-meaning people of Akwa Ibom State not to sit on defense but do all they can within the ambit of the law to support the Government to make Akwa Ibom State to become one of the industrial hubs in Nigeria.
The Leadership and Members of FIEIP hailed Governor Udom Emmanuel for appointing one of their own, the BOT, Chairman, Mr. Ephraim Inyang-eyen as Commissioner for Works, Akwa Ibom State and commended the BOT Chairman for convening the Worldwide Retreat, as well as building and dedicating a Chapel to the Glory of God.
Speaking, the BOT Chairman, Mr. Ephraim Inyang-eyen lauded FIEIP members for their selfless sacrifices and for the uncommon support and working together to achieve the Divine Mandate that produces Deacon Udom Emmanuel as Governor of Akwa Ibom State.
Mr. Ephraim Inyang-eyen, who is also the Commissioner for Works Akwa Ibom Stated, stated that Governor Udom Emmanuel is genuinely committed to take Akwa Ibom State to next level of development, said all men of truth will ever celebrate and honour him for sincerity and love for the State.
Mr. Inyang disclosed that the World wide RETREAT was to appreciate members of FIEIP for the support and contribution to the election victory of Deacon Udom Emmanuel. He announced that his appreciation packages at the Retreat will be given equally to all the Chapters.
The BOT Chairman who mentioned that FIEIP is all about empowerment of members, charged the Senatorial District Leaders to produce 3 members, one each to liaise with the National Executive Committee to intimate members at the Ward levels of the various on-going development in order to consolidate hope in each Chapter.
He announced to members that in the next National Retreat scheduled early next year that all offices will be declared vacant and every position will be contested for, from the ward level up to the National Level including that of the BOT Chairman to ensure that credible people run the association.
In his welcoming speech, Obong Essien Esema the National Chairman of Transformation Initiative for Empowerment of Ibom People worldwide Congratulated the BOT Chairman and Honourable Commissioner for Works, Mr. Ephraim Akparawa Inyang-eyen for his well-deserved appointment as the Honourable Commissioner for Works and member of Akwa Ibom State Executive Council, as well as building and dedicating a Chapel for God.
Obong Essien Esema deeply appreciated the efforts of FIEIP members for their hard work, dedication and Commitment which contributed to the outstanding success in the primaries and gubernatorial election and the subsequent victory at the Election Tribunal which re-affirmed Deacon Udom Emmanuel as Governor of Akwa Ibom State.
The National Chairman of FIEIP urged members as loyal transformers to rededicate themselves to the cause of the organisation and the overriding principles of the present administration which is encapsulated in DAKKA DA Philosophy.
