A socio-political group under the aegis of Nigeria G5 Youth Alliance (NG5YA) has said that those politicians and some governors who criticized Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and his team are enemies of Nigeria.
The group’s declaration contained in a press statement issued, jointly signed by its National Coordinator, Comrade Joe Ossai; National Planning Secretary, Comrade Odittah Henry Ekenem and Director, Media & Strategic Communications, Saviour Ekpe and Made available to Century Newsfront said that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers and other G5 members, Samuel Ortom (Benue), Ifeanyi Ugwanyi (Enugu), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia) and Seyi Makinde (Oyo) are patriotic Nigerians who are working in accordance with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The trio observed that those who are not in tune with the decisions of the G5 PDP Governors should face their political front, the release reads in part, “we are aware of the political gimmicks orchestrated by some of the political gladiators in the country with regards to the G5 political move, the G5 strong and ardent determination to rescue Nigeria from the present quack mire by remaining resolute by holding people and institutions accountable to their pledges toward a better Nigeria, which may not go down well with them hence, their continual attack and media war on the G5”.
The group expressed their readiness to partner with anyone that means well and is ready to develop the country from the already battered image and social maladies, “NG5YA is poised in supporting any individual, group or government (local, state or federal) that is ready to redeem the battered image of Nigeria from the shackles of corruption, underdevelopment, unemployment, racism, insecurity, hunger, killings and maiming of innocent and law-abiding Nigerians”.
The Nigeria G5 Youth Alliance gave a strong signal to those who are bent on making Nigeria remain in the state of backwardness despite enormous economic resources on the land, “We will not sympathize but expose those that have kept Nigeria in the present state of debauchery who do not want to give way for positive change that every meaningful Nigerian is yearning for especially as 2023 general elections beckon with hope and transformational leadership.
“We will continue to deploy our hard-earned resources in supporting the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi who is our beacon of hope as far as 2023 general elections are concerned. Enough is enough, we are ready to take back our country, this is the only country that we have”, the statement concluded.
