Governor Udom Emmanuel has been described as a man sent by God at the right time to salvage the state in intervening in some critical areas for the betterment of the people.
The Deputy Unit Head, National Association of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers (NAPPMED), Etinan Urban Centre Unit, Comrade Ekemini-Abasi George said this in Etinan recently while interacting with newsmen after the swearing in of the new exco of the association last week. Comrade George noted with delight what he called massive infrastructural renaissance embarked upon by the Udom-led administration in College of Health Technology, Etinan where the face of the institution has been completely changed to wear a new look in a way of renovation, building of new blocks and equipping the school up to standard, “I am particularly happy on the level of renovation and equipment that governor Udom has brought to the College of Health Technology. This is what students of the College yearned for all these years”.
Comrade George, himself an alumnus of the college and a one time Student Union Government President of the institution said that the level that the governor is tackling decayed infrastructure in the state is a clear sign of good thing to come. He also appreciates Hon. (Barr.) Aniefiok Denis Akpan, member of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly representing Etinan State Constituency and Rt. Hon. Sam Ikon, member of the House of Representatives, Abuja for their empowerment programmes in their respective constituencies, which have brought smiles to the faces of the people and inject permanent joy in the annals of the beneficiaries.
In his remarks while performing oath of office to the new exco, the Chairman of National Association of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers (NAPPMED), Etinan chapter, Comrade Christian Ufot charged members to conduct themselves in an orderly manners and work towards the uplift of the association in their action, thought, interaction and attitude. He congratulated them for their victories at the just concluded elections.
Also speaking, the State PRO of the association and a former NAPPMED chairman in Etinan, Comrade Friday Udofia warned members against the sale of fact and expired drugs. He announced that there are some drugs that has been banned such as analgin and other dangerous drugs.
In his response, the Etinan Unit Head of the association, Comrade Anietie Udousoro thanked members for the confidence reposed in him and promised not to take such confidence for granted. He promised to do all within his powers to ensure that he meet the yearning of members. Comrade Udousoro charged members to support his administration as welfare of members would be considered paramount. He called on them not to fight the member executive to closed rank with all to ensure the development of the association.

Others include Comrade Eno Moses Akpan, Financial Secretary; Comrade Ofonbuk, Welfare; Comrade Ubong Ekwere, Ex-Officio 1 and Comrade Dorathy Akpan, Ex-Officio 2. The event was featured swearing in of the new exco, goodwill messages and commendations. Present at the occasion among others were Elder S. I.T. Inyang, Patron; Comrade Friday Udofia.
