…Says, Uyo Senatorial District deserves to have a woman in Senate

The clan Head of Itam in Itu local government area, Akwa Ibom State, His Highness, Etebom (Dr.) Donald Uboh has assured Princess (Dr.) Victoria Ibokette, the candidate for Uyo Senatorial District under the ADC (African Democratic Congress) of victory at the polls.
He made the declaration in his palace when the ADC candidate for Uyo Senatorial District paid a visit to the Clan Traditional Rulers Council recently. The Etebom while receiving her said, “now that you have come to see us, we have seen and known you, we will disseminate your information in all our villages. Continue in your message in all the nine local governments within the Senatorial District because I can see 
victory on your way”.
He stressed the need for the electorate of Uyo Senatorial to speak in one voice and vote in one spirit for her to emerge for the first time in Uyo Senatorial District and the only female senator in Akwa Ibom State, “It will be a thing of joy for us in Uyo Senatorial District to have you as a woman in the Senate. Eket Senatorial District had in three successive terms produced three different women as senators and we are aware of their achievements, especially that of Helen Esuene and Eme Ekaette. Let a woman from this Senatorial District also go there and make us proud”.
The Clan Head thanked President Buhari for giving ascent to the electoral Act, added that it gives credence to all votes that will be cast at the poll, called on voters to support the candidacy of Princess Ibokette, “there is no known record that you have been anything politically anywhere but chose to use your hard earned money and invest in this race, God will bless you and give you victory at the polls. What you are doing here is grassroots politicking and this is the best method of politics. The women population is high in our Senatorial District. If all women in Uyo Senatorial District come out and vote for you, I see no reason why you would not win.
It is constitutional for someone to belong to a political party since there is no independent candidacy yet in Nigeria but knowledge and nature have taught us that in this particular political dispensation, the electorate will not vote party but for an individual candidate, those with implicit antecedent that we know not criminals, not people who will disappear with our mandate. I sincerely thank President Muhammadu Buhari and the INEC that have made it clear that this time around, all votes will count. That is why I call on all eligible voters in Uyo Senatorial District to collect their PVCs because that is what will provide an answer to Princess Ibokette candidacy for senate”.
Earlier in her message, the ADC (African Democratic Congress) for Uyo Senatorial District, Princess (Dr.) Victoria Ibokette who was flanked by her entourage thanked the royal father for accepting her in the palace. She told the royal fathers of various opportunities that abound to tap and make available to the people of the senatorial district both men, women, youths including the physically challenged people if voted as a senator, she will harness those opportunities for the good of the people of Uyo Senatorial District. She stressed that a vote for Princess (Dr.) Victoria Ibokette is a vote for empowerment, a vote for peace and tranquility in the senatorial district, Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria at large. She received royal blessings and special prayers for open doors for her ambition.
