The Divine Dominion Campaign Organization 2019 for Hon. KufreAbasi Edidem, the PDP flag-bearer for Itu State Constituency on Monday paid a condolence visit to the family of Late Hon. Michael Dan of Nwut Usiong Itam, West Itam 1 ward 8, Itu local government area, Akwa Ibom State led by the Director General, Dr. Ekeatte Ebong Okon and Secretary, Engr. Tony James.
Speaking, Hon. Kufreabasi Edidem thanked God for keeping the late Honorable Dan to achieve much at the age of 55. While recalling how he formed the Associations in the local government to fight for the inclusion of Itu in the state polity. He extolled him for being a faithful and committed member of the PDP, which platform, he emerged as councilor for ward eight in the Itu Legislative Council.
He urged the family members to trust in God no matter the circumstances. Edidem also prayed God to bestow the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss. A member of the campaign team, Mr. Iniobong Antia advised the deceased family members not to be deterred by the sudden demise of their father but to seek God’s strength and grace to to be able to carry the family along. Mr. Antia implored them to see the task ahead of them as a call for service to the family, hence to build on the legacy left behind by their father.
Responding, the wife of the deceased, Enefiok Michael Dan, a former ward woman leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a staunch supporter of Governor Udom Emmanuel thanked the Campaign group for the solidarity, love and concern towards the family. She noted that the visit has given her and the entire family strength and encouragement. The son of the deceased, Mr Michael Dan (Jr.) expressed gratitude to the PDP State House of Assembly candidate, KufreAbasi Edidem and his team for paying a condolence visit to the family and promised their total support to his aspiration in 2019. Prayer was offered by the Director General of the organization, Dr. Ekaette Okon.
Present at the visit were members of the Divine Dominion Campaign Organization; political stalwart of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the local government area and the Mrs. Emem Ekpanya, Vice Chairman, Itu Local Government Area among others.
