…Says Nigeria Needs Help
…As PFN Convention Holds Sept 30
The leadership of the youth wing of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has been tasked on the need to make their voices heard especially as the next general election beckons in 2023.
He said members of the body should rise up and lead the charge for the soul of Nigeria. The charge was handed down by Pastor Triumphant Obamoh when the youth wing of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Akwa Ibom State chapter paid him a courtesy call in his office on Tuesday.
Pastor Obamoh charged them to take advantage of their youthfulness by rising up to the challenge of ensuring that Nigeria has the kind of leadership that will turn around the fortunes of the people in 2023.
While lamenting the precarious situation into which the country has sunk, the cleric noted that Nigeria needs help, adding that the youth wing should be more active in their advocacy for a better country.
He urged the youth wing of PFN to start early preparations for the elections in the country, saying that prayers should be intensified against an unbeliever ascending power both at the state and national level. “PFN should begin an intercession, even if it is virtually. We need to spearhead the battle for the soul of Nigeria; the earlier the better. We should pray starting now that only a believer will govern Nigeria,” he said while charging them to choose a day in all the 31 chapters of the state and pray for the battle for the soul of Nigeria and also hold a virtual meeting to address pressing issues. “Let’s make a choice for a redeemed Nigeria,” the man of God charged.
Pastor Triumphant Obamoh who thanked the body for deeming it fit to invite him as one of the guests to their upcoming National Convention scheduled to hold in Akwa Ibom State on 30th September at Insight Bible Church, Nsikak Eduok Avenue, Uyo, assured them of his total support.
While praying for the success of the event, he said his desire is to take the gospel down to the hinterlands, noting that those in the rural areas need to hear the Good News more in order to dissuade them from holding onto negative practices.
Speaking earlier, the youth leader of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Akwa Ibom State chapter, Rev. Hope Ekong, thanked God for the visible results experienced in Living Faith Church, adding that more exploits are in the offing for the church.
Rev. Ekong said the theme of the convention, ” Christian Youths in Covid-19 Regime: The Place of Faith and Precautionary Measures” is aimed at shedding lights on the misconceptions in the world today in the light of the coronavirus pandemic. He said the keynote speaker will be Dr. Sylvanus Ukafia who is the immediate past chairman of PFN, Akwa Ibom State chapter.
Members of the body in attendance at the courtesy visit were the leaders of PFN (youth wing) from the three Senatorial Districts of the state, secretary of the body, Pastor Emmanuel Esin, among others.
