The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Akwa Ibom State Council has commiserated with her Ex Officio Member, Elder Edet Okpo over the lost of her mother.
The Commiseration came today, Tuesday when the State Working Committee of the Union paid him a condolence visit in his home.
In his remark, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Akwa Ibom State Council, Elder Patrick Albert noted that the Union understands the pains Elder Okpo must have passed through in losing his mother.
Albert urged him to take comfort in the fact that his late mother kept a worthy legacy for him to emulate.
While assuring him of the Union’s continuous support, the Chairman prayed God to comfort the family and give them the grace to carry out the burial successfully.
Responding, the bereaved, Elder Edet Okpo described his late mother as a strong source of inspiration and pillar of support in his life endeavors.
The NUJ Ex Officio member thanked the Union for their show of support and love in his moment of grief.
He said that with the visit, he has felt warmth and sense of comradeship.
The funeral of his mother, Deaconess Ikwo Okon Okpo will take place on Friday, 22 March 2019 at Methodist Primary School, Offi Atak Oro ( By Uruting Junction), Okobo Local Government Area at 10am.
