We shall vote PDP massively as we’ve been doing,” they assured.
At Ikot Akpaekang (South – 1), the PDP Ward Chairman, Hon. Alphonsus Hogan, said “Mr Speaker, your visit has given us a sense of belonging. As we have promised before, we are reassuring you that come 2023, we will deliver PDP overwhelmingly. The men, women and the youths will stand solidly behind PDP.”
There was ovations and unparalleled show of solidarity for the Speaker and other candidates of the PDP at South-6, South-3 and Central-3. At Ekim Enen (South-2), the Speaker assured that he will continue to prioritise the welfare of his constituents and solicited for their overwhelming support in the forthcoming general elections.
In his words: “There is need for us to support Atiku Abubakar for President. In Akwa Ibom, we have Pastor Umo Eno who will sustain the peace and development when he takes over from Governor Udom Emmanuel. I sincerely appeal to you to support me for Uyo Senatorial District seat, Hon. Mark Esset for Uyo Federal Constituency and Dr. Itoro Etim for Uruan State Constituency.”
Highpoints of the event was the formal reception of defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) into the PDP and performances from indigenous artistes. The event was attended by serving and former political office holders in Uruan LGA.
