Princess Uduak Daniel Udoenang (formerly known and addressed as Princess Uduak Akpan) is a household name in Akwa Ibom State in particular and Nigeria in general and of course, the larger global world. This name is second to none in gospel music and entertainment industry. Princess Uduak Daniel Udoenang now, a graduate from the University of Uyo started his music career after his secondary education. A world-class gospel minister, Uduak, a devoted member and worshiper of Qua Iboe Church, her life and disposition has always been that of straightforwardness and sincerity, service to God and humanity, dependable and inspiration to many especially, the younger generation, a silent and quiet philanthropist of note, humble, humane and submissive to a fault. This enigma and beacon of hope has never been known or associated with any form of stained or corrupt record or irregular/questionable lifestyle.
These may be some of the qualities a then; Lagos-based trained Architect Daniel Udoenang from Uruan Inyang Atakpo saw, proposed and legitimately got married to Uduak as the marriage is blessed with lovely kids. No wonder the people of Uruan local government area saw her as an asset, in unison nominated and voted her into an exalted office as the Executive Vice Chairman of Uruan local government area.
When the video that is making the rounds on the social media produced by a sister to one Miss Itoro Martins, one could not fathom but a million Dollars questions bubbled on the minds of many. Though effort to reach out to her proved unsuccessful but the actual and rhetorical questions are how much money is involved, when was the said money owed and what was the business transaction, has the video marker approached Princess Uduak Udoenang? if yes, what was the manner of approach, is it a crime to owe (if at all her claims are true), is she the first to owe, as she gone to Court of competence jurisdiction to recover her money, has there been any effort of reporting same to any of the security operatives, is there any evidence to back this claim up? No one is pleased over the health condition of Ity Martins in view of the expectations of the society on her (though was rumored sometime ago of her demise), it is also true that she has been on sick bed for about a decade, pockets must have been dried up for now as a result of this, a concerted call and request for members of the public could have probably offered succor. If similar effort were to be adopted in making a video of sort, displaying bank details, demanding for financial assistant from members of the public, methinks, this effort could have yielded a positive result than trying to weep sentiment on the altar of an innocent personality.
This jaundiced attack on the hard earned name of Princess Uduak Daniel Udoenang could be viewed as political persecution, maybe because of her ardent, unrepentant, penchant and unflinching support to governor Udom Emmanuel’s succession plan and Senate candidacy of the Speaker of the Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey. The video maker may only be a ready and willing tool in the hands of politicians who are ready to use the gullible to achieve their goal instead of making them (after all, the said sickness has plagued Ity Martins for over a decade).
