Pro Wrestling Federation President Condoles Delta Governor

The president of the Nigerian Professional Wrestling Federation, Chief John Uche has extended a letter of condolence to the Governor of Delta State, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa on the demise of his father, Sir (Chief) Arthur Okorie Uzoma Okowa who passed on at 88 years.

In his letter of condolence to the governor, the Federation President stated that the death of Pa Okowa, a retired teacher, a distinguished community leader and a high chief of Owa Kingdom has no doubt created a vacuum in the family because he died at the time his wealth of experience, fatherly advice and care are needed most.

“As a devoted Christian and disciplinarian, we urge you and the entire family to take solace in the fact that your father left an endearing legacies which lives on. He was a primary school teacher, a secondary school Teacher, a teacher’s trainer and a politician of outstanding repute. He trained many students who are now high court judges, professors, senators, ministers and many government officials who have helped to build the Nation”, he emphasized.

“During this moment of your pain, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family. We pray that Almighty God will provide you the strength and courage you need in order to handle this difficult moment successfully. On behalf of the entire executive leadership and members of the Nigerian Professional Wrestling Federation (NPWF), we express our heartfelt condolences to your family members as well as the entire people of Delta State”, he concluded.

At a press briefing over the weekend at the National Stadium in Surulere area of Lagos State, the pro-wrestling federation president explained that Delta is one of the eight Nigerian states that will participate in the Presidential Solidarity Fight Against Corruption in Nigeria and Africa at large. The Pro Wrestling Championship event that has been tagged: “BATTLEGROUND 2021” is in solidarity of the Presidential efforts to fight Corruption in Nigeria. The timely event will showcase Nigerian, African and world rated pro wrestling talents from March 13th to April 5th 2021. Apart from Delta State, Lagos, Imo, Ebonyi states are fully ready for participating in the event while the organizers are still discussing with the sports managers in Bauchi, Plateau and Kano and currently working out the modalities to access Akwa Ibom state as well.
