Samuel Bill Old Boys Association ( SBTC OBA) : Hon Udoma Emerges 4th Int. President

The 13th Annual General Meeting/ 2022 Reunion of Samuel Bill Old Boys Association ( SBTC OBA) has ended in Abak with the election of former Akwa Ibom State Deputy Speaker and Old Boy of the School, Rt Hon Uwem Udoma as the 4th International President of the Association.

The 13th AGM which held from Friday July 8 to Sunday July 10, 2022, had as it’s theme, “Back to the Future: Renew, Revive, Reunite”.

Speaking shortly after his emergence, the new President, Hon Uwem Udoma thanked the Old Boys Association for the confidence reposed in him to pilot the affairs of the Association, and reiterated his desire to welcome constructive criticism and advice that will aid the realisation of the goals and objectives of the Association.

Hon Udoma who promised to leverage on the many successes of his predecessor, Mr Churchill Udoh, pledged to be transparent and accountable in all his dealings during his reign but was quick to rule out a second term aspiration, promising to serve only a single term of three years and leave office in 2025 with lasting legacies that will ensure he leaves the Association better than he met it.

The new International President also commended the Akwa Ibom State Government for the massive infrastructural rehabilitation of the School which has rebranded the institution to a world class model school.

He noted with delight that the provision of new hostel and classroom blocks, Assembly Hall, Water Facility, Dinning Hall, Generator and other facilities has gone a long way to create the right atmosphere and the ambience for effective teaching and learning.

Also elected to pilot the affairs of Samuel Bill Old Boys Association for 2022-2025 includes the Vice President, Mr Esitekom Ekpo, Secretary General Engr Imeh Imeh, Public Relations Officer Mr. Ubong Afia, among others.
