An International Media Organisation, Corner News team has called on the federal government of Nigeria to completely scrap the idea of the school feeding program in Nigeria, described it as a scam.
The organization observed that only a few individuals in Nigeria most especially those at the ministry of humanitarian affairs have become very rich overnight through this program which is the truth. Information reaching Viewers Corner News team revealed that billions of Naira have been spent on this school feeding project by the federal government of Nigeria.
Now hear this; if the good intention to feed children while in school is properly followed with all honesty, it would have been great but the money spent so far in this program if put together can give the people of Nigeria electricity and also create some viable industries in the country (Nigeria) but as it is now, it is like the minister of humanitarian affairs (Mrs Sadiya Umar Farouq) has lost touch in the management of her ministry.
Look at the Almajiri children who cannot go to school because of poverty but billions of Naira is allegedly being spent to feed school children while on lockdown, such system is very wrong. If they are in school, feeding them would be fine but at the moment, Nigeria as a country cannot carry such a huge responsibility. Parents should prepare lunch for their children, the federal government of Nigeria should not take such responsibility at this point in time because of the huge amount involved in the implementation of such project but then when everything in the country (Nigeria) is put in a good position, such program can then be implemented.
Again, some corrupt people in Nigeria are enriching themselves through this school feeding project which should not have been so. This school feeding program in Nigeria is a waste of Nigeria’s hard-earned money which should have been used for other viable ventures that would bring real benefits to the people of Nigeria. The truth we (Viewers Corner News team) shall stand for and continue to say it at all times until it gets into the minds of those in positions of authority in the country (Nigeria) so that at the end they can make right decisions that can take Nigeria to the next level.
