Technology transfer, also called transfer of technology, is the process of transferring technology from the person or organization that owns or holds it to another person or organization. Often, it occurs by concerted effort to share skills, knowledge, technologies, manufacturing methods, samples, and facilities among the participants.
In advanced Nations of the World, there is an ardent practice of technology transfer between the benefitting nation and the Country that is originating the technology which ensures that they both share their ideas for the good of all.
In an ideal democracy like Nigeria, purposeful leaders periodically travel outside the shores of the Country either for conferences or vacations. During such travels, the travelers cum leaders come back home to translate whatever good ideas, services and skills they come across in the course of the travel into concrete reality. But regrettably, most Nigerian leaders embark on such travels just for fun with no hope of bringing home any goodies.
