The Mount Zion Mission Gets New General Superintendent

Arch Bishop Asuquo Ekpo Okon has emerged the new General Superintendent of the The Mount Zion Mission Inc. Nigeria following the demise of the former General Superintendent Arc. Bishop Asuquo Elensi Ating who transited to glory recently.

Arch. Bishop Asuquo’s elevation was announced after a crucial meeting of the council of Apostles of the church at its corporate headquarters Oron Akwa Ibom State in which II out of 12 members of the supreme council and 3 prominent Elders attended.

According a release endorsed by the General Secretary of The Mount Zion Mission Inc. Apostle Sunday D. Unwana, “At the said meeting, a resolution was reached that because of the vacancy created by the death of late Arc. Bishop Asuquo Elensi Ating, Bishop Asuquo Ekpo Okon who was the Acting General Superintendent of the Church was unanimously appointed as Arch. Bishop and General Superintendent”.

The New General Superintendent Arch. Bishop Okon in his acceptance speech expressed gratitude to God and the council of Apostles for his elevation as the General Superintendent of the Church.

He pledged total commitment to the service of God and mankind with absolute love and humility.

He called for prayers and support from the church especially members of the council of Apostles in his Onerous task of piloting the affairs of the church to the next level of glory.
