The Village Head of Awa Iman, Onna local government area, the country home of Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, Eteidung Clement Johnny Udoh has justified why Governor Udom Emmanuel stands tall in the discharge of his duty as governor.
The Royal Father made this assertion in Awa, Onna local government area while in a chart with newsmen recently. He said that the governor does not live a camouflage life but always natural, humane and real in all his endeavours, “we have known him from youth. He has never indulged or gets himself entangled in juvenile delinquency of any sort and has been very responsible right from youth, which he maintains till today”.
Eteidung Clement Udoh maintained that those good qualities of the governor that endeared many people to him and also catapult him to where he is today, which according to the royal father, this is just the beginning of the governor’s political ascension, “am sure the people of the state must have seen the light in the governor, that is why they gave him this mandate, which was confirmed by the Supreme Court a couple of weeks ago and as a person, am very grateful to God and the entire people of the state for standing for the truth”, he noted. He expressed the hope that with the experience garnered over the years in the banking sector, the state will stand to benefit from his wealth of experience.
Flanked by members of his cabinet, which is made up of family heads and other leaders of thoughts in their respective ranks, the Eteidung-in-Council who described governor Udom as Godsent to Akwa Ibom State sued for peace, cooperation, unity and imbibe the dakkada spirit in order to take the state from where it’s present state to the Eldorado. He called on youths to learn from the ascendency of the governor by eschewing social vices and juvenile delinquencies if they want to secure their future, “I am worried by the way our youths of today subject themselves to be used by self-seeking politicians who use them as thuggs for monetary gains that does not take them farer than where they are”.
Commenting on the success story of the governor so far, Obong Udoh said, “when we talk of industrializing the state, the state is very lucky to have this type of man in the helm of affairs because the governor has a knack for things, he loves taste and always insists and goes for the best that is why I said earlier that he is Godsent to the state. He will definitely turn this state to a mega city, what I thing he wants from us is encouragement, loyalty, sincere, positive and constructive comments that will ginger and spur him up to devote his youthful energy and strength to ensure that he injects the best of him into governance and the state cannot remain the same”, the Royal Father noted.
He called on the state governor, Deacon Udom Emmanuel to while developing the state, should also remember home in his development agenda by apart from infrastructural facilities, should empower the teeming youths, women and the elderly back home, according to the popular adage that charity begins at home.
