…As More Powerful Groups Emerge for Endorsements For Governorship, Senate Seat

As the build up to 2023 general elections draw near, many groups have identified openly on the aspiration of the duo, Pastor Umo Eno as governor, Akwa Ibom State and Pastor Dr. Markfre Ekefre for Eket Senatorial District.
The latest group is The Body of Christ for Good Governance while on an extra-ordinary meeting in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital said that they identify with the duo because of their track records, levels of spirituality, commitment to the work of God and their antecedents in offices they occupy with the fear of God.
The Body of Christ for Good Governance that comes with its slogan, Mission for Righteousness is made up of very senior and seasoned ministers of the gospel within and outside the state, drawn from different denominations across all the Christian religious divides.
In his homily, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the group, Rev Dr. Emmanuel Udoka quoted from the book of Proverbs 29:2, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn”, stressed that having godly people in governance, the state will experience peace, tranquility, righteousness and the fear of God on the land and that alone will attract prosperity and favour from God.
He added that the entire body of Christ and the good people of Akwa Ibom State are happy for the candidacy of the anointed one by governor Udom Emmanuel in the person of Pastor Umo Eno who is an Apostle of God and a senior citizen of the body of Christ.
The Chairman thanked God for the vision of governor Udom Emmanuel in his step of strengthening God’s kingdom work for an unending peace and progress in the state through his choice of Pastor Umo Eno as his divinely directed successor and next governor of Akwa Ibom State.
He called on all in the state to join hands and support whom they described as a god-sent leader who, according to him, will wrought righteousness in the land and in Government House, “I want to use this opportunity to call on all Akwa Ibomites to joint hands for the actualization of Umo Eno governorship come 2023 so that we can leave in Peace void of killing, kidnapping, harassment and intimidation.
The group also declared their unalloyed support and Endorsed Pastor Dr. Markfre Ekefre as next Senator for Eket Senatorial District come 2023 and also prayed for the completion Agenda and succession plan of governor Udom Emmanuel to come through successfully.
The event featured prayer convocation and the endorsement of Pastor Umo Eno for governorship of Akwa Ibom State and Pastor Dr. Markfre Ekefre for Eket Senatorial District. Present at the event among others were Rev. Gideon Akpan, Pastors Bassey Philip, Benedie Mark Bassey, Friday Bassey Ekpo, Bassey Afiakere and Peter Okon Bassey. Others included Rev. Solomon Ekarika, Rev. Inemesit Akpan, Pastor Aniekan Elijah and Apostle P. Ekefre as well as executive officers from all the 31 local government areas, zonal and regional leaders of The Body of Christ for Good Governance.
