Indeed, the land prospers and the people rejoice when the righteous is on the throne, this seems to have been the mood of the larger number of the people of Akwa Ibom State when Mr. Udom Emmanuel was appointed Secretary to the State Government by Governor Godswill Akpabio two years ago.
By his appointment, little did anyone know that a “Saving Messiah” had arrived to bring pride to the State, but today, a probe into the profile of this Godsent gentleman stands him out as the man of the moment in the sky of Excellent leadership, faithfulness, steadfastness, humility, foresight and trustworthiness within Nigeria and International polity, especially in the financial management sector.
Many have known Udom Emmanuel to be an orator, Banker, a few have sniffed out the pastoral penchant in him, or it might be better to say that a few have decoded the faith and good leadership giant that is embedded in him and his resplendent personality, it’s would be difficult to end the pen of this piece without sounding a little bit like the preacher as this man of the moment Udom Emmanuel is a genius, a great mixer, a silent performer, good mobilizer and a great philanthropist.
Owning to this development, a top-class legal luminary and an International scholar of repute, Dr. I. B. Usoro, in a press chat with the Highlight crew unfolds more qualities of the man Udom Emmanuel and states why he should be the next Governor of Akwa Ibom State come 2015.
Dr. Innocent Usoro, Vice Chairman of the Voice of the Diaspora (U.S.A) and an outstanding supporter of Udom Emmanuel to the hilltop as Governor of Akwa Ibom State makes claims to the fact that there is a reawakening of the rights of indigenes of the state to elect a credible candidate that will take the uncommon transformation of the great state to the next level.
Prior to this, Dr. Usoro asserts that as an indigene of Akwa Ibom State, he is eligible and has all it takes to ensure that his choice of candidate wins the governorship election. In that course, he is back from the United States of America to Nigeria to give his full support to Udom Emmanuel to emerge as the next Governor of the state before he returns to the United States.
According to him, he is not worried about opposition, because all of them put together do not have what it takes to govern compared to Udom Emanuel. Stating that he is here as part of the team from the Voice of the Diaspora to arise, spread the news and give all the support he can to Udom Emmanuel. He states that he is not sure of any other candidate that can fit into his shoe, adding that Udom Emmanuel is the only candidate found more competent and professionally endowed enough to lead the state to an enviable position.
This influential and prominent supporter of Udom Emmanuel, Dr. Usoro confirms that no one emerges as candidate of PDP until such fellow has the flag of authority and that Udom Emmanuel who is the state flag bearer of the party has what it takes to push Akwa Ibom state to the peak of unimaginable prosperity and happiness.
According to him, Udom Emmanuel is gifted with business ideas to encourage both the private and public sector to create an enabling environment for Akwa Ibom State in terms of economic development and business opportunities. Adding that Udom Emmanuel will be a fair governor to his people. In a nutshell, the hope Dr. Innocent has is that “there is hope for Akwa Ibom State” the price of fuel will be reduced to $33 per barrel; his agenda will be built on educational infrastructure medical infrastructure, social infrastructure and industrialization of the state. Udom leadership promises to sustain the uncommon infrastructural transformation of the state by Chief Godswill Akpabio, adding that Akwa Ibom State is ready for the next stage of development.
It is pertinent to know that “the ballot box is mightier than the bullet” according to Dr. Usoro, and no one can ever pervert the continuous flow of wealth in Akwa Ibom State when Udom Emmanuel finally emerges as the next governor of the state. The extent to which Dr. Usoro can go to ensure that his choice of candidate and friend Udom Emmanuel emerges as the next governor of Akwa Ibom State is to make certain that indigenes of Akwa Ibom State come out and make use of the ballot boxes in the given time allocated by INEC. He mentioned that voting Udom Emmanuel as the next governor of the state would be the best thing to happen to Akwa Ibom.
