Works Commissioner Applauds CCECC For Impressive Performance

Honourable Commissioner for Works, Mr Ephraim Inyang-eyen is highly impressed on the progress of work done on the Eket-Ibeno road construction handled by the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC).
Mr. Ephraim Inyang-eyen made the commendation while leading some government officials and Journalists on inspection visit to the project site to assess the level of progress made, on Wednesday.
The Works Commissioner having noticed the progress urged CCECC to maintain the tempo, as well as, to intensify efforts using the dry season to complete the two major bridges and the water channelization work, in order to deliver the contract in record time.
He assured the company that the Government of Mr. Udom Emmanuel will always do his own part of the contract through proper funding of the project and called on the company to ensure timely completion of the project for the promotion of economic activities and social interaction, as well as attracting more confidence of the State, to themselves.
The Works Boss told the Ibeno people that Governor Udom Emmanuel is irrevocably committed to the development of all parts of the State through initiation of new projects and completion of all on-going projects in the State, adding that all the negative reports concerning the Governor Udom Emmanuel’s abandonment of on-going State projects cannot encourage the government who is genuinely working in the interest of his State to stop performing.
Mr. Ephraim Inyang who paid homage to the Paramount Ruler of Ibeno L.G.A, HRM, Owong (Dr.) Effiong Archianga in his palace assured the Traditional Father of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s readiness to development the area.
The Commissioner who was accompanied in the inspection tour by his Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ifreke Ekpa and other top government officials also inspected the scope of works at the Eket Remodelling construction project.
The Managing Director of CCECC, Engr. Henry shao reacting had promised to complete the two major bridges and water Channelization within the next two months but appealed to government to expedite action on the relocation of electric poles affecting the alignment of the project, for effective operation of the Company.
HRM Owong Achianga prayed for the Governor Udom Emmanuel’s well-being saying God brought him to deliver the people of the State and declared the people of Ibeno unflinching support to his government at all times
The Ibeno Paramount Ruler who is also the 28th Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Council of Chiefs was delighted at the visit of the Mr. Ephraim Inyang, said he is the first Commissioner ever to pay homage to his palace describing the Commissioner as a man of greater Wisdom whose contributions in the administration are enormous and are geared towards the successes of Governor Udom Emmanuel in the State.
Speaking on behalf of all the Chiefs and people of Ibeno, High Chief William Mkpa thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for bringing development to Ibeno L.G.A and expressed the resolve of the people of the area to support the administration.
