A Digital Innovative Forum (DIF), a subsidiary of GT Technologies Limited in partnership with Prou Education and Ephafresh Foundation is staging an empowerment programme for youths and ICT enthusiasts in Akwa Ibom State.
According to the programme initiator, Prince Godwin Tommy in a media chat explained that the event being a multi-dimensional in nature will hold on Sunday December 24, 2023 at VINPY Event Centre, Opposite the State Secretariat Annex, Udoudoma Avenue, Uyo by 2 PM, aimed at empowering youths by giving them a purpose for living. He decried the beggarly attitude and servanthood mentality of the youths, noted that it is his desire to change the narrative.
Prince Tommy added that the core essence of the programme is to train the youth in ICT, thereby, making them self-sufficient and independent as well as financial independent, “we have the capacity of training and empowering them so that while they are still in school, they can work remotely and online and online work pays a lot”, he explained.
He maintained that aside from the regular online training and jobs opportunity, his organization also delves into a study abroad programme, where students are properly guided to any foreign universities and courses of their choice that are within their coverage scope. He added that they offer a 1.1 per cent interest student loan while the capital sum is paid between six to ten years after graduation.
The programme initiator further noted that they also embark on other activities such as real estate; seeks partnership with the administration of Pastor Umo Eno as well as the office of the First Lady for youth empowerment and emancipation. He called on youths in the state to avail themselves of the rare opportunity as the event will equally feature Inauguration, Award/Recognition, Prayer & Power Conference.
