Your Excellency Sir,

May I use this opportunity to give thanks to God and also congratulate you on your taking over the mantle of leadership as Governor of Akwa Abasi Ibom State

Your Excellency Sir,

I want to use this opportunity to bring to your notice that St. Theresa’s Secondary School Edem Ekpat in Etinan local Area of Akwa Ibom State is in its pitiable condition and to also use this medium to appeal that attention be paid towards the rehabilitation of this school.
St. Theresa’s Secondary Edem Ekpat remains the only Girls’ Secondary School in Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State and one of the oldest Girls’ Secondary Schools in the State. Your Excellency Sir, we all know that healthy learning in schools is only possible when students and teachers are provided with adequate facilities, not only related to teaching and learning but also safe and sound infrastructure. Weaker structures due to aging and lack of maintenance and facilities are associated with St. Theresa’s Secondary School Edem Ekpat. There are growing roofs and buildings collapsing in the school.
The experience of these students here is disheartening because most of the classrooms are not in good condition for learning and the students feel very uncomfortable paying good attention to learning, the staff’s room and the Principal’s office are not excluded as these rooms are flooded when it rains.
I am appealing to you, the State government and other well-meaning Nigerian to come to our rescue as a matter of urgency because the condition of this school right now is too dangerous for the students and staffers of the institution.
We shall be very grateful, the Community, students, teachers, staffers etc if my request is considered and granted as I look forward optimistically for this to become a reality.
