Professor Leo Daniel has been appointed Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi.
Daniel is a research expert in Aerospace Engineering and Provost of the College of Engineering and Technology at Kwara State University, Nigeria.
Also appointed to work for the smooth take off of the institution are: Offiong Ita Nka, Registrar; Mbobo Frasmus-Mbobo, Bursar; and Phillip Akor who was appointed Librarian of the new varsity.
The Federal Government had in 2021 announced the establishment of the University and three others to address shortfall in areas of technology, medicine and nutrition.
