Kindest Heart Sisters Give Hope To Nigerian Students

An International Non-Governmental Organisation based in the United States of America, Kindest Heart Sisters has extended their kind-hearted disposition to pupils of QIC Group School, Nung Ukot Itam, Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

The group made up of eleven ladies of like minds with other supportive staffers stormed the school Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from California, United States of America with a mission of enhancing academic excellence through the provision of assorted school bags to one hundred senior pupils of the school as well as the donation of writing materials such as exercise books, pens, pencils to all pupils of the school.

In her address, the President, Kindest Heart Sisters, Dr. (Mrs.) Itanwan James while addressing the pupils and staffers of QIC Group School, Nung Ukot Itam, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State said that the organization is focused on empowering families, less privileged, girl child and children with the aim of ameliorating their condition and making life meaningful within their financial ability.

Dr. James further explained that their visit to Nigeria during this trip was aimed at visiting some vulnerable children and schools to provide them with basic academic necessities to enhance their academic needs; she noted that about seven schools in the state have been earmarked for the provision of school bags and other writing materials. She advised pupils to obey their parents, teachers and constituted authorities to make good citizens and become useful to themselves and the society.

In her welcome remarks, the headmistress of QIC Group School, Nung Ukot Itam, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Mrs. Grace Edeke, flanked by her Deputy Headmistress, Mrs. Esitime Udo was bubbled with excitement appreciated Kindest Heart Sisters for identifying with the school and the pupils for the gesture. The headmistress noted that the pupils will make effective and good use of the items donated to them, described the donation as fantabulous and prayed God to replenish them to be more useful to Nigerian children.

Speaking to Century Newsfront, one of the Teachers, Mrs. Mfonobong Saviour said that such a gesture was timeous in view of the fact that the pupils are already in their second term. She noted that such a gesture would motivate the pupils to study hard as it serves as an inspiration to them as they will feel proud of themselves especially for meeting up with their peers in private schools. She called on other Non-Governmental Organisations in the country, wealthy individuals and government agencies to emulate the benevolence of Kindest Heart Sisters by making similar donations to spur pupils in public schools up for excellence. The ceremony featured the presentation of welcome song and the recitation of poems by Pupils of the school.
