The National Population Commission, Akwa Ibom State has Official Flagged off the Enumeration Area Demarcation (EAD), Phase 18 Digital Updating in the state.
A release signed by the Information Desk Officer, NPC – AKS, Comrade Uloh William and made available to Century Newsfront states that while conducting the flag – off exercise, the Honourable Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission, Akwa Ibom State, Chief (Engr.) Benedict Ukpong FNSE, Okete Okete Oro who was represented by the State Director, Mr. Emmanuel Edem said that Akwa Ibom State is working in line with the directives and direction of the national to meet up with the March 5 timeline, “Ahead of the commencement of EAD phase 18 field work from Saturday March 5, 2022, NPC, Akwa Ibom State, yesterday 3rd March, 2022 joined the National timeline with a two-day refresher’s training”.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Emmanuel Edem greatly appreciated God for granting the field functionaries a safe trip to the state headquarters of the Commission. He further congratulated them for making the list and also charged them to take their job serious and abide by all the rules guiding the Conduct of EAD phase – 18 (Digital Updating) as they move to the field.
It could be recalled that several activities have been put in place by the NPC management in the state in preparation to the forthcoming Population and Housing Census in Nigeria.
