… APC Defectors Vow To Make Clean Sweep Of All APC Members For Peter Obi

The Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Team of the Labour Party in Akwa, Saturday visited Ukanafun and Oruk-Anam local government areas in continuation of it’s grassroots sensitization and mobilization tour to canvass support for the actualization of Peter Obi’s Presidential ambition.

Leading the sensitization tour to the two local government areas were, the Akwa Ibom State Director General of the Peter Obi-Datti Campaign Council, Captain Augustin Okon, represented by Engr. Pius Ebong, a representative of the Nigeria Labour Congress, and Leader of the Political wing of NLC, Akwa Ibom State Council, Comrade Essien Essien, and the Campaign Manager, Mr. Nature Udoh among others.

At Ukanafun, the team made a stop over at a popular market, Urua Akpan Eshiet, where the team leaders enlightened the locals on Peter Obi’s campaign manifesto, saying he is on a rescue mission to salvage Nigeria from bad leadership and set it on the right path. The team later converged on Ikot Akpankuk, the Ukanafun headquarters where the local government chapter Presidential Campaign committee of the Labour Party was inaugurated.

At Oruk-Anam, the team made a stop over at the Government School, Ikot ibritam, where the Presidential Campaign Council for the local government area was also inaugurated.

Addressing the people of the two local government areas who gathered at the various location to receive the Obi-Datti Campaign team, the Head of NLC Political wing, Comrade Essien Essien, while thanking them for the warm reception accorded him and his team members, urged the people of Oruk-Anam and Ukanafun to be part of history in the making, by joining hands with the Labour Party and the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council in installing a government at the centre that would wipe the tears of Nigerians.

Comrade Essien said Nigeria has been plaqued with high level of corruption and bad leadership, saying time has come for all to join hands with the Labour Party to change the narrative in the forthcoming election by voting for the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi and his running mate, Datti Yusuf, assuring that with Obi on the saddle as Nigeria’s next President, Nigerians would have cause to smile as Obi would guarantee a better Nigeria that all would be proud of.

On his part, the State Director General of the campaign council, Capt. Augustin Okon, represented by Engr. Pius Ebong enjoined them to guard their PVC’s jealousy and beware of those from other parties who would be coming to deceive them with fake promises, saying only Peter Obi has what it takes to take Nigeria from a consumption economy to  producing economy.

Also speaking, the Campaign Manager of the Obi-Datti Campaign Council in Akwa Ibom, Mr. Nature Udoh, commended the people of the two local government areas for their decision to pitch tent with Peter Obi, assuring of a better Nigeria for all.

Highpoint of the sensitization tour included the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign committees for the two local government areas, the formal reception of defectors from APC to Labour Party in Oruk-Anam, and the public declaration by the people of the two local government areas to support the Peter Obi Presidential project for a better Nigeria.
