The nine female political appointees from Uruan local government area have expressed their heart of gratitude to the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno for appointing them into various political offices, describing such action as unwavering support for women.
In a release, under the aegis of Uruan Women Meets signed by its Coordinator and Vice Chairman of Uruan local government Transition Committee, Hon. (Evang.) Uduak Daniel Udoenang and made available to Century Newsfront christened, Expression Of Gratitude And Vote Of Confidence: Uruan Women Extend Appreciation To Akwa Ibom State Governor And Their Political Leader. The release, which quotes in part, “In alignment with the timeless wisdom of Ralph Waldo Emerson, the women of Uruan resonate deeply with the ethos of gratitude, recognizing the manifold blessings bestowed upon them under the leadership of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, Governor esteemed for his godliness and unwavering support for women”.
Also on the roll call of appreciation by the Uruan female political appointees was the former Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and Senator, representing Uyo (Akwa Ibom North-East) Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Distinguished Senator Aniekan Bassey, whom they described as a man with profound love and commitment to peace, for identifying and nominating them, “Furthermore, a resounding appreciation also extended to the Distinguished Senator Aniekan Bassey, the esteemed political leader of Uruan whose profound love and commitment to peace have profoundly impacted the local government area. The women expressed profound gratitude for his instrumental role in advocating for the appointment of nine females in various offices including PAs to the Governor; Supervisors and Vice Chairman in the Transition Committee of Uruan local government area, as well as his generous support during the recent solemn Assembly/Easter celebrations, which included initiatives and enlightening talks on business and agriculture”. Others on the list included the wife of the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno; the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Her Excellency, Sen. Akon Eyakenyi.
The women unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the governor and others, “In recognition of these acts of love and commitment, the women of Uruan extend their gratitude and also passed a vote of confidence on His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State and his dear wife, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno. And the Distinguished Senator Aniekan Bassey, Senator representing Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District”.
