The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has summoned the sole administrator of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Effiong Akwa over alleged failure to declare assets.
In a letter addressed to Akwa by the CCB and dated January 13th, the agency asked him to appear on Thursday, February 11.
The letter signed by Gwimi S. P., Director Investigations, Intelligence, and Monitoring reads: “Pursuant to the mandate and powers of the Bureau as enshrined in the 3rd Schedule, Part 1, Paragraph 3(e) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended, I am directed to invite you for an interview in respect of the above-stated matter.” Gwimi S. P said the venue for the interrogation will be the CCB Interview Room, 5th Floor, Annex, Federal Secretariat Complex, Shehu Shagari Way, Maitama, Abuja.
The agency urged the NDDC sole administrator, Akwa to avail himself with his asset declaration forms starting from the day he joined Public Service. “You are requested to come along with assets declaration made since you joined the Public Service… Please be guided.”
