Members of the Board of Trustees of the Saint Patrick’s College, Ikot Ansa, Calabar Alumni Association and the National Executive Council of the Association, will converge on Uyo the Akwa Ibom State capital on Friday 27th May for their 2016 NEC meeting on the 28th of May.
The SPACO Old Boys NEC meeting slated for Daaty Hotels, D Line Plot 4, Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo will attract such members of the Board of Trustees as the President of the National Executive Committee, Chief Charles C. Ifeanyi; a former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Arch. Obong Victor Attah; a former Group Managing Director of NNPC, Dr Thomas John; the Paramount Ruler of Eket Local Government Area, Obong E. C. D. Abia and Arch. Maurice Archibong.
A statement by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Alumni Association, indicates that delegates are expected from the Lagos, Calabar, Port Harcourt, Owerri and Uyo branches of the association.
According to the statement, the delegates would be hosted to a social evening on Friday 27th by the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration of the University of Uyo, Professor Trenchard Ibia, who is also the National Provost of the association and would pay a courtesy visit in the morning of the 28th to an old boy of the college and Paramount Ruler of Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, His Royal Majesty, Edidem Solomon David Etuk.
The 2016 NEC meeting of the Alumni Association of the 82 year old Saint Patrick’s College, Calabar, is expected to deliberate on the physical and academic well being of the college and her present students as well as generate a national membership directory for the alumni in addition to concluding arrangements for the relaunch of the Bosco scholarship scheme for indigent students of the college.
