Governor Udom Emmanuel reiterates his commitment to the people

The Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has re-echoed his commitment to ensuring that citizens enjoy dividends of democracy best.

The governor said this during a media chat with media professionals in the state recently. The State Chief Executive noted that education, health and agriculture will continue to receive greater attention while social amenities such as road construction, portable water and power will be on the highest acceleration “education is the best thing that will ensure our children are well equipped with best and relevant knowledge they need to acquired. Ministry of education will set up a monitoring team in order to assess the performance of teachers in all ramifications.

In health, the Governor Re-affirmed his commitment for the training and re-training of health professionals for ultimate performance while charging Ministry of Health to set up a training program to train the youth basically on health aspect so as to respond to an emergency.

Those who also spoke at the media chat included the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Udo as well as the State Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalist, Mr. Amos Etuk. The event attracted interactive sessions.
