… Ex-President Jonathan, Wife, ors set for the Dedication

Speakers of Ogbia and Epie dialects in Bayelsa State will soon heave a sigh of relieve as Bible Society of Nigeria, Rivers/Bayelsa states jointly chaired by Elder Omoni Ayo-Tamuno, immediate past State Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Rivers State Council and the Senior Manager, Church and Public Relations, Bible Society of Nigeria Headquarters, Mr Samuel Adesola Sanusi has concluded plans for public presentation and dedication of a brand new edition of the Bibles in their language.

This was disclosed in a joint statement issued, signed by the duo and made available to Century Newsfront shortly after the Central Planning Committee Meeting of the Dedication of the two Bibles in Yenagoa yesterday.

According to the statement, the Ogbia Language Bible would be dedicated on Tuesday, September 22, while that of Epie would take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. The Immediate Past President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan would be the Chief Host, while his wife, Mrs. Patience Jonathan would be the Chief Hostess.

The statement added that top government functionaries, Church leaders, top traditional rulers and other very important personalities within and outside Bayelsa State would grace the ceremonies.

The two Bibles, which are translated of the New Testament would be the first language Bibles to be dedicated in Bayelsa State since its creation and added that more details of the ceremony would be issued later.
